Neo is a super-sweet, affectionate clown. With his ears in repose, he has this "Lonesome George Goble" look about him which is particularly useful for conning us, and he uses that look on us regularly... and quite effectively too (the rascal).
Photos taken Friday and Saturday, 05-26 and 05-27-2006.Neo had a brief but exciting show career. On his first weekend out at 8 months of age, he received a Group 2 at Grand Rapids Kennel Club's Sanctioned B Match at Kalamazoo, MI on Friday, May 26, 2006 (photos below), then a third place out of seven Bred By Exhibitor dogs in that club's show on Saturday, May 27, 2006, from judge Mr. Reginald Nesbitt. On Saturday, July 22, 2006, judge Dr. Lee Reasin chose Neo as Reserve Winner's Dog at the Muskegon Kennel Club show in Hudsonville, MI, and at the Berrien Kennel Club show on Friday, August 4, 2006 in Marshall, MI, judge Mrs. Edna K. (Katie) Gammill also chose Neo as Reserve (Major) Winner's Dog. We retired Neo from the show ring at the end of August 2006 when we discontinued our breeding plans for him.
Neo lived with his brother,
Junior, and the rest of the pack owned and loved by Roger and Cindy Messmore of Ohio from Saturday, September 30, 2006 until Sunday, July 13, 2008. The Messmore's are two true sighthound lovers with hearts of gold, so when Junior and Neo recently became sibling rivals, Roger and Cindy wisely (but tearfully) brought Neo back to ReJoyce out of concern for the safety of both dogs.
