Penny went home with Mary Daum of Eau Clair, MI on October 7, 2009. The next morning, Mary wrote:

"I think Penny had a really good night last night. The boys love her and the cats are still getting used to her. She loves her new yard but she was not so crazy about the ride home in the car. I will keep you posted on how she is doing."

Mary and her sons previously owned and loved a rescued Greyhound, and their pets are cared for by Drs. Frank and Dave Butts of Dowagiac Animal Hospital, the same veterinarians who cared for our dogs (including and especially our beloved Shannon) before we moved to Benton Township. References just don't come much better than those! We look forward to Penny updates.
