Here is how we originally described Renner:
-
Renner is extraordinary. Not a day goes by that we don't wonder, "when is he going
to do something truly Whippet-heathenish?"
Yet every day since Renner came to ReJoyce on November 18, 2006,
he has brought heartwarming joy and wonder to all of us -- even
the dogs! -- at ReJoyce. We humans are just plain
dumbfounded by a puppy that has slept through the night every
night since he came to live with us... a puppy that has not once
wet or soiled his crate overnight... a puppy that goes smoothly
and uncomplainingly from playing with "the big dogs" to playing
contentedly by himself... a puppy that travels quietly
and without incident on car trips long or short... a puppy so
calm and peacefully affectionate that can already catch up to or
outrun his "big dog" buddies.

Then he ate two shoes (of course,
not both from the same pair) and matching holes in the right arms of our loveseats. Yep, he's all Whippet...
Renner made his exciting show debut on Saturday, April 14, 2007, receiving his first point as Winner's Dog and Best of Opposite Sex from esteemed AKC judge Mrs. Patricia V. Trotter. He breezed through his UKC championship in three weekends with 4 Group 1's, a Group 2, and an exciting finish with a
Reserve Best in Multi-Breed Show on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 10 months of age.
We are extremely grateful to
Sabine Salo for entrusting us with Renner and his lovely half-sister,
Kaila, and we thank God for her friendship and support.
Here's Renner on Saturday, September 8th
at the 2007 Animal Aid Mutt March in Saint Joseph, MI,

And here he is receiving his

from judge Ms. Kathy Belville.
